So last week, Kylie defeated her pen, and she’s still too little to crate all day long. Plus, leaving her in the crate even for the afternoon turned her more spastic than I’ve ever seen her. So the next day we reinforced the pen, which allowed her to defeat it even better, she just climbed over the side and had the run of the house. I’ve never seen her so proud!

So Friday we tried locking her in the laundry room, and put up a board to try to keep her from being able to get behind the machines. She defeated that in all of about 15 seconds after she heard us leave. Here’s a triumphant photo of her winning. Look at how she looks right into the webcam, as if to say, “You can do better than that!”

We also have some good pictures of her stuck behind the washer and dryer, but I haven’t downloaded them off the camera yet.

And we could do better than that, though it took most of the afternoon and evening on Sunday. We put up a kennel in the basement. Normally, I think these are supposed to go outside. It’s like 13 feet by 7 feet and 6 feet tall. I hope she doesn’t decide she can climb this one!
